The confiscation of Armenian Properties

İt is definitely false to daim that, the "authors" of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in 1915 having passed away since already a very İong time, it would be adequate for Turkey to recognize the historical reality of that Genocide and turn the page. The recognition of the Genocide leads subsequently to the juridical acknovvledgement.

There was genocide in 1915 and, under the terms of the United Nations Resolution 2391 of November 26, 1968, the erime of genocide is impreseriptible, independently of the date on vvhich it was perpetrated, even if the authors of the erime have disappeared.

Moreover, it is absürd to daim that the authors of the Armenian Genocide disappeared: according to an immutable principle of law, evil perdures as İong as its effects last.

Therefore, as İong as our historical territories will remain usurped by the Turkish Government, and as İong as our properties will remain illegaliy confiscated, Turkey will irrevocably be held responsible of the Genocide.

Dr. Kevork K. Baghdjian, a specialist of the Armenian Question, holds a doctorate in juridical sociology from the Üniversite de Montpellier, France. Immigrated to Canada, he first lectured Armenology at the University of Concordia, then Armenian and Arabic civilizatiort, as well as the history of Armenia and the Armenian language within the framework of permanent Education at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Elected President of the Federation of the Ethnicities of Quebec since 1975, Dr. Baghdjan becomes deeply involved in public affairs and plays an important role so much in the Armenian Community than in the other cultural communities of his country of adoption. 

İn 1985, Dr. Baghdjan published his book on the Armenian Question, vvhich knew a broad diffusion.

Officer in the Order of the Academic Palms since 1953 "for services rendered to the French culture", Dr. Baghdjian was nominated member of the Ordre du Canada in 1978.

Dr. A. B. Gureghian holds a B.Sc, from St. Andrevvs University, Scotland, a M.Sc, from Dundee University, Scotland, and a Ph.D., from Cambridge University, England. After completing his Post-Doctoral fellovvship at Princeton University, he was employed by several U.S. National Laboratories and Research institutes, vvhere he became mainly involved in the research and development of mathematical models related to the disposal of high-level nuclear vvaste.

His keen interest in the Resolution of the great injustice caused to the Armenian nation motivated him to perform this vvork.
