The Sunday of Advent

The Sunday of Advent, reminds us of the end of the present order of the world, the second coming of the Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the Last Judgment and the creation of a new earth and new heaven. The Gospel for Matins according to St. Mark articulates Jesus’ prophecy about the future end times. Jesus gave His followers a prophetic picture of the end times- including events leading up to it. He also talked about future events, connected with His return to earth to judge all people.
