SYDNEY: The Republic of Armenia's Minister of Diaspora,
Hranush Hakobyan will be the Guest of Honour at the Armenian Festival in Sydney
this Sunday, 22nd March 2015. Minister Hakobyan arrived in Sydney today, as Special
Envoy to the President of the Republic of Armenia, and will meet with Members
of Parliament in Canberra and New South Wales over the coming week.
The Ministry of Diaspora is a major sponsor of the
Armenian Festival, and Minister Hakobyan will address the audience during the
day.
The Armenian Festival begins at noon on Sunday, March
22nd at Tumbalong Park in Sydney's Darling Harbour, and concludes at 7pm.
Renowned singers, Hamlet Gevorgyan and Zaruhi Babayan
have also flown in from Armenia to lead the entertainment line-up, which
includes Sydney-Armenian band Blackbird, singer Raffi Adourian, Homenetmen
Scouts, students from Armenian schools and the community's leading dance groups.
