Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God

On Sunday, August 16, the Armenian Apostolic Church will observe the Feast Day of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, one of the Five Major Feast Days in the Armenian Church calendar. At St. Leon Armenian Cathedral, the day's celebrant and homilist will be His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

At the conclusion of the service, Archbishop Derderian, assisted by the Cathedral's Pastor Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, will preside over the traditional Blessing of the Grapes ceremony
