Armenian students won seven medals at an international
competition of mathematics in Bulgaria reported the Armenian Ministry of
Education and Science. The Armenian team included students from the Yerevan
State University (YSU), the American University of Armenia (AUA) and the
Armenian-Russian University. Albert Gevorgyan and Albert Sahakyan YSU to have
won gold medals, Vazgen Mikayelyan won a silver medal and Avetik Karagulyan won
bronze.
Artyom Kosyan and Levon Stepanian, two AAU students were
placed second and third, with silver and bronze medals, respectively, and
Hrachya Kocharyan the Armenian-Russian University won a bronze medal.
Some 320 students participated in the competition in the
city of Blagoevgrad, from 72 universities around the world.
The annual competition is organized by the University
College London and is held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria since 1994.
